Welcoming the New Year

Whether you rang in the New Year with Escapees at the Rose Parade HOP, Xscapers NYE Blowout, the Texas New Year Hangout, or celebrated in your own way, we hope you are looking forward to an exciting year of adventures and exploration! What are some of your goals for 2020?
Protecting Our Public Lands
Camping on public lands is a privilege, not a right. With the help and support of our advocates, Escapees RV Club has created a list of best practices to ensure our public lands will remain beautiful treasures we can enjoy throughout our travels. This list is codified in the RVers Boondocking Policy.

More than 20 years ago, we saw an increase in abuse of overnight parking options which led to proposed legislation that would prohibit overnight parking in places such as Walmart. In the interest of protecting these options for RVers, we took action and created the Good Neighbor Policy, sharing it with RVers worldwide with the help of many respected RV organizations.

As thousands of new RV enthusiasts join us on the road, we see a similar pattern developing with the increased use of public lands. We must do our part to help protect these lands for all.

Important Tax Law Changes for RVers

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) enacted in late 2017 ushered in the most sweeping changes to the United States’ Internal Revenue [Tax] Code in more than 30 years. While the changes do not address the RVer lifestyle specifically, many of the provisions do generally affect RVers—especially those who are actively earning an income while yielding to their nomadic tendencies.
