For experienced RV travelers to Mexico who enjoy the fun, adventure and safety of travel with other Escapees in a spontaneous and unstructured way. Any member can post their ideas and preferred dates for a trip in the private Facebook group, SKP Follow me to Mexico BOF, and connect with other members who want to come along. Small groups will allow for spontaneous camping. Nightly happy hours during travel will keep everyone updated on travel plans. No officers, no dues. Wake before dawn, coffee in hand, as hundreds of vibrant hot air balloons float over the Sandia Mountains, painting the horizon with color. It’s an experience like no other!

Iceland's Magical Northern Lights HOP
October 13 - 19, 2025
Embark on an Icelandic adventure in the land of fire and ice, where steaming lava fields meet towering glaciers, crafting breathtaking views of waterfalls, fjords, and black-sand beaches.
Begin in Reykjavík, Iceland’s lively capital visiting the harbor, city hall, Parliament, and historic cathedral. Dine on Icelandic specialties before setting sail across Faxaflói Bay for a northern lights cruise.
Journey along the Golden Circle visiting the Geysir thermal area, the mighty Gullfoss waterfall, and Thingvellir National Park, where you’ll straddle the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Later, explore the Lava Exhibition Center and walk behind Seljalandsfoss waterfall.

“I have no problem pulling my 41-foot fifth-wheel with my three-quarter ton diesel.”
Statements similar to this quote occur every day on various social media forums. Unfortunately, these statements are not helpful and could lead someone to purchase a trailer much too big for their tow vehicle.
Although the truck may appear to be towing it with no problem, only time will tell if that remains true. 🚛⚖️ Check GVWR, GCWR, and actual weight to ensure safe towing and avoid costly mistakes. |
