One thing is for sure- with more than 70,000 of you
scattered across North America and even overseas, there is never a shortage of get-togethers for our members! From events such as HOPs (Head-Out Program), Convergences, Hangouts, and RVers Boot Camps to more casual gatherings like chapter and BOF (Birds-of-a-Feather) rallies and chapter luncheons, there is something going on nearly every week of the year! Each type of event caters to a different kind of RVer, helping you find more people like you along your travels. Keep reading to see what Escapees are up to in the coming months!

Though our club, like others, offers a variety of benefits and services, there is one thing that is hard to replicate in any other RV club; the heart behind everything we do. Founded in 1978 by a couple of RVers who were looking for a sense of community on the road, Escapees has continued under the leadership of their children and grandchildren for more than 40 years.
Here, they tell the story of Escapees RV Club history from their own perspectives, as well as their hopes for Escapees' future.

Halloween Convergence
October 27- November 3
Urban boondocking in the adult playground of Sin City, Las Vegas! This ain’t your normal Halloween gathering! Xscapers camps in the concrete jungle of downtown Las Vegas.This convergence is packed with more included experiences than other convergences. Expect it to be like no other we have previously held.

Escapees RV Club was founded as a way to help RVers stay in touch in the days before cellphones, social media, and email. Throughout four decades of service to RVers, community-building has remained our primary focus. Over time, this mentality gave birth to an often-used phrase among our membership, "caring and sharing." We adopted this as a core value of Escapees RV Club as a testament to the passion our members share, both for the RVing lifestyle and for supporting each other.
In May we
officially launched the Peterson Spirit Award, a program that allows members to recognize each other for exemplifying this core value of our club. While this award is a direct reflection of the Escapees founders, Joe and Kay, it also represents every Escapees member that sets the example of what it means to be an SKP. A big round of applause to these recipients for not only going above and beyond recently, but also for carrying on our roots and the principle values of all those who came before us

Dave McKenna SKP #108456 - While Dave was volunteering at CARE, which he has done for several years, he offered to drive to Houston and pick up a fellow member from the airport. This member was coming into Houston to receive their camper which was arriving from Argentina. Dave then drove him to Customs and to the port to help pick up the camper. Knowing the delays that may occur with Customs, Dave offered further assistance by inviting his fellow member to sleep in his RV and drive him back to Houston on Monday.
Dave always steps forward whether it's to help a friend,
volunteer at CARE, or manage the membership list for the Boomers BoF which is a huge job with over 1500 members.
