Escapees RV Club was founded in 1978 by Joe and Kay Peterson. In the 43 years since, the

What Does Your Escapees Membership Mean To You?
A few years ago, we started sending our new members surveys six months after they joined Escapees to learn about their early experiences with the club.
Most often, new members indicate that they joined for our social events and the discounts available to members. While both of these are definitely useful to Escapees, there is so much more to our club and community!
Also, while we have your attention, we hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones! To allow our team time to enjoy the holiday, too, our offices will be closed Thursday, November 25th, and Friday, November the 26th. Mail scheduled for Thursday and Friday will go out on Wednesday the 24th. The last day to make any changes to a mailing scheduled for the 25th or 26th is Tuesday, November 23 by 5:00 PM Central.

Expert & Peer-to-Peer Education for All

Education has been a cornerstone of Escapees since its conception. In the early days, Kay circulated a newsletter full of member-submitted tips and experiences, sharing peer-to-peer education with members. That newsletter grew into Escapees magazine, a bi-monthly publication written for RVers, by RVers. You'll find past magazine articles plus plenty of new content on our Escapees.com and Xscapers.com blogs.
RVers are so hungry for trustworthy information that we launched RVers Boot Camp. This three-day in-person educational experience merges training in operation, safety, and maintenance of RVs with peer support
through workshops, group meals, and informal happy hours. Many students leave RVBC with a better understanding of their rig AND new friends upon who they can call!
RVers Boot Camp content is also available online through RVers Online University. Offering RV education on your own schedule, RVOU includes a wide variety of RV lifestyle content in addition to the Operation, Safety, and Maintenance learning path. You'll find seminars on mobile internet,
budgeting, working from the road, and more in the Roadmap to Full-time RVing.
Speaking of online education, have you checked out our lineup of Escapees webinars? These online events connect RV experts with viewers for live presentations and Q&A. You can catch replays of these in our archive here, and keep an eye on Member News for announcements of new ones.
Our digital events, like the upcoming Work Camping Digital Conference, also provide a wealth of information in an accessible way. These events are typically free for live views, with an affordable ticket option for those who want access to the replays and additional resources.
