Escapees RV Club is now part of the Harvest Hosts family!
In the 46 years since Joe and Kay Peterson founded Escapees RV Club, the organization has grown from a small community into a cornerstone of support and camaraderie for RV enthusiasts nationwide. Their vision created a legacy cherished by nearly 200,000 members throughout the years. As we reflect on this journey, the Carr family is excited to announce a significant transition for Escapees RV Club.
After heartfelt discussions and careful consideration, we have decided to pass the leadership and operations of Escapees RV Club’s membership, support services, educational programs, and events to Harvest Hosts. This acquisition excludes the Escapees Mail Service and Escapees RV Parks, which will remain under the management of the Carr family.
Harvest Hosts is a company committed to enhancing the RV lifestyle by offering unique and memorable overnight experiences at wineries, farms, and more. By connecting RVers with local businesses, they create meaningful connections and unforgettable memories, enriching the RV experience in ways that align perfectly with the values of Escapees.
Escapees RV Club current memberships and benefits will remain unchanged. Harvest Hosts understands how important the services and support provided by Escapees are to you, and they are committed to preserving the integrity and excellence you have come to expect. Their goal is to build on this solid foundation, adding new and exciting opportunities to make your RV adventures even more enjoyable, without compromising the experiences you already love.
The future is bright for our combined communities. We believe that it is the members who make Escapees what it is and who will continue to drive its greatness.

Plan Ahead For Upcoming Escapades!
Start planning for Tucson next year where we’ll put on a fiesta! The Pima County Fairgrounds will host the 64th Escapade March 16th – 21st, 2025. It’s the perfect chance to meet up with other Escapees escaping the winter for more fun, learning, and entertainment.
In 2026, we’re planning a wicked good Escapade in Maine! That’s right, June 14th – 19th, 2026, we’re headed to Fryeburg, Maine for the 65th Escapade. It’s time to pull out your maps and travel tools and start planning adventures in New England!
Late spring and early summer are a perfect time to visit the region and now you have the perfect excuse to go. Make your way up this historic area with lots of choices for stops like the Mystic Seaport (and pizza) in Connecticut, The Breakers in Rhode Island, following the Freedom Trail in Boston, gorging on Creemees in Vermont, and more.
Afterwards, why not hit the coast for some lobster and a visit to Acadia National Park? There’s so much to do, you might not leave until the colors start appearing in the fall (and then you might want to join a HOP).

Xscapers Annual Bash is Out of This World!
Ten years ago, a message was received from Planet X. Since then, Xscapers has sent their scouts to descend on cities and destinations across America and the world. Now, they’re converging in Lake Havasu, Arizona for an event so monumental it can only be described as Invasion of the Xscapers.
From the wondrous minds of Escapees RV Club, creators of epic RV adventures and services, comes the Xscapers Annual Bash. Eight days of cosmic craziness celebrating a decade of exploration, community, and fun that is Xscapers January 11-19, 2025.
Prepare to be abducted by fun as we beam down to a galaxy not so far away for an immeasurably fantastic time.

Xscapers Convergences Update

We regret to inform everyone that we must cancel the Xscapers Las Vegas Halloween Convergence. Despite our collective enthusiasm for returning to downtown Vegas, we encountered insurmountable issues with our planned venue and were unable to secure a suitable alternative.
I want to assure you that every effort was made to bring this event to fruition, but we faced multiple roadblocks that ultimately left us with no other choice.
While this news is disappointing, there are several upcoming events to look forward to.
The Xscapers Friendsgiving Convergence website is live, with tickets available starting August 7.
Additionally, our biggest event of the year, the Xscapers Annual Bash 2025, is happening in January, and tickets are already on sale.

Truck Buyers Beware: Know Your Ratings for Safer Towing
“I have no problem pulling my 41-foot fifth-wheel with my three-quarter ton diesel.”
Statements similar to this quote occur every day on various social media forums. Unfortunately, these statements are not helpful and could lead someone to purchase a trailer much too big for their tow vehicle. David Gray knows this firsthand because he learned this costly lesson in 2009.

September 16-23, 2024
How about some "Music City" adventures like the General Jackson Showboat and a Redneck Comedy Bus Tour, as well as a visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Willie Nelson & Friends Museum? That's what you'll get and more from this amazing Hangout!
Bring your favorite bike (all interstate and street legal wheels welcome: motorcycle, trike, sidecar, road licensed four-wheeler) for some planned group rides to enjoy the sights of Tennessee. Even if you prefer to stay behind the wheel of a car or truck, we'd love to have you join us, as the Nashville area has plenty of entertainment for everybody!
Interested in learning how to plan RV travel with a motorcycle? This Hangout offers educational talks on how to do it plus extra provisions have been made to encourage those who already travel with a motorcycle or who would like to learn more about how to do so.

We've expanded our RV education offerings just for you!
In September 2005, the first Boot Camp was held in Du Quoin, Illinois. Through the years it has evolved to meet the ever-changing RV industry. Boot Camp was developed around the ideas of Operation, Safety, and Maintenance and now it’s time to take a step beyond those core topics.
