Escapees History

Against all odds, like a seedling on a rocky cliff, a dream can take hold and bloom. And that is exactly what happened for Joe and Kay Peterson, co-founders of Escapees RV Club. The Carr family shares a brief overview of the club's creation as well as some of their favorite Escapees memories.

Rainbow's End: Where Escapees HQ Began

In this edited excerpt from History of the Escapees Club, Kay Peterson, co-founder of Escapees RV Club, shares some of the history behind Rainbow’s End, the first of the Escapees Rainbow Parks.

Virtual Wednesdays- RV Insurance

Maybe you’re new to RVing. Maybe you’re planning on hand-building your rig. Or maybe you just want to understand what kind of insurance you really need for an RV whether part-time or full-time.

Courtney Wooge is joining us to help address these insurance dilemmas and more. Courtney is the second-generation president of FCIS, a specialist in insuring RVs. Following in his father’s footsteps, Courtney continues to advocate for the needs of RVers, using his position to encourage insurance carriers to expand their coverage in appropriate areas in order to more thoroughly serve the RVing community.

The webinar will be broadcast live on the Escapees RV Club Facebook page, July 8th at 8:00 pm Eastern, 5:00 pm Pacific. The recording of the webinar will be uploaded to YouTube channel and our archive in the weeks following the live broadcast.
From Your Fellow SKPs
One of the things we miss most about seeing our friends is the casual campfire conversations where we learn all the things we didn't know we were missing about RV life! Luckily, we still have plenty of ways to connect with each other and share these experiences and tips.

Ken & Becky, SKP# 119964, shared this helpful bit of advice with us recently:

"When we cleaned out our previous RV, I spread out the contents of each
drawer, cubby, etc. on the bed and took pictures to remind us what went where. Turns out it's even more useful when migrating to a new RV. I
even thought to print the pictures to create an "index" for when I can't remember where something is stashed."

Have a tip you want to share with fellow SKPs? Send an email to departmentseditor@escapees.com and you may see your input in a future issue of Escapees magazine!
Do you have feedback you want to share with Escapees RV Club staff and/or Board of Directors? Use this feedback form to ensure your thoughts are heard by our staff and leadership.
