Eager to Meet More RVers?

Our summer RVing is still rolling! We shared in the previous Member News about the many events on the horizon. Don't worry, more are coming!

With tickets selling fast for each event, our directors are working diligently to get more on the calendar and offer more opportunities for members to explore the continent with other RVers.

In the meantime, we have a couple of tips for finding (or making) events near you, as well as how to connect with others online. Keep reading to find out more.
Want to See More Events in Your Area?
Xscapers members (and Escapees staff) Kerensa Durr and Brandon Hatcher have hosted multiple Convergences as volunteers. Here, they explore "The World's Most Awesome Flea Market" with fellow members during the Xscapers Bluegrass Convergence in 2017.
Want to see more Escapees events in your part of the continent? Try hosting one!

We've received some great feedback recently about our upcoming events. While most of our current planned events are hosted by our event directors, we have a handful of volunteers helping to create more opportunities for Escapees members to get together across North America. And there's still room for more!

Our event directors are always eager to expand our social calendar with volunteer-hosted gatherings. Each event requires different skills and experience from volunteer hosts, so check with the individual event directors to see if we can make it work!

Hangouts: hangouts@escapees.com

Pro Tip: Volunteer hosts get a few extra perks for hosting an event! Each event director will have more information on what's available according the type of event you want to organize and host.
Volunteer hosts Laura and Rob Kernodle enjoy a morning yoga class during the Florida Winter Home Base Hangout they hosted earlier this year.

Then at night, the sky over Lake Havasu City lights up with fireworks shows and demonstrations. Our six-day Winter Blast Hangout will let you and your fellow Escapees experience this pyrotechnic extravaganza, along with several outdoor activities in the Lake Havasu City area. Virtual Meet-Up Spaces for RVers
Are virtual gatherings more your style for now? No worries, we can help with that, too.

Last week, our marketing team co-hosted a Virtual Campfire focusing on the many ways RVers can build community and meet fellow RVers online. During our one-hour chat, we shared tips for connecting with like-minded RVers in a variety of online places, where you can exchange tips, get travel ideas, and even arrange in-person meet-ups throughout your travels! A few of the places we highlighted include:

- Escapees RV Club members-only Facebook group
- RVNetwork, the club's discussion forum
- Instagram, where you can use hashtags and geotags to get to know other RVers
- and RVillage, a social media platform that caters specifically to RVers!
